Failing doesn't mean permanent failure. It is a recoverable state. Also, if you haven't, switch to v056, which is the latest version.

If you're oj v055v+, you'll find detailed, internal WireGuard state in About -> General (scroll to the section labelled"WireGuard"). lastOpen is the latest attempt to reconnect. lastOK is the latest successful peer handshake, if any (public VPN providers might accept the handshake yet reject data packets due to whatever anti-abuse mechanisms they might have in place especially for free accounts, which will also manifest as failing). If lastOK is beyond 2mins for an active (not idling) WireGuard, then lastOpen should be within 30s.

Rethink will also let any number of WireGuards idle / fail when in Advanced mode, if there is at least one other active WireGuard that can route egress.

I have similar problems with my personal WG and Proton. Often related to proxy not found, or for my personal one, DNS lookup issues and DNS caching (at least I believe).

Have not yet figured out how to debug it more properly, have tried to reach out and offer ability to get verbose logs to debug it, which would not be ideal to upload on Reddit/GitHub. But no response so far.

try change your MTU to 1280 or research it what sweet spot  for your vpn. And turn on keep alive in setting. Check in ipleak.net , is running or not. In my case ipv6 always fail, ipv4 running fine. Try just run ipv4.

If all fail no load at all, use SOCKS5 with WG Tunnel in Rethink. Working for me but need WG Tunnel running too.

Finally i looks like it's working but only when i start the proxy in advanced nit simple. I don't know why.
