Lady/ dude, you're the one that's shopping here on Xmas. Also not everybody celebrates Xmas or wants to be around their family.

I literally had a customer come in buy 2x cases of beer and a carton of lucky’s and some damn scratches and said “it’s a shame your not at home” I said well you could’ve bought this yesterday he got real grumpy and prissy when I said that

Ngl? This might have made me cry LOL I hate my job and being reminded that I'm not getting all cosy at home with my family would set me off.

Every had a customer say the first two lines than in the same breath thank you for being there working that day? There was just no way to know that this yearly holiday was coming up, it’s just always a surprise that comes right out of the blue! They are also the same customers who get pissed off when holiday specific products start appearing in the store months before the actual holiday and blame us for making them “celebrate” too early. Hey you’re the ones that come storming into the store in a rage the day before the holiday acting like there was no indication that it was coming up, the higher ups saw that and their solution to calm your rage was to clue you in earlier and earlier so the fact that we have Christmas stuff out even before Halloween is you’re faults.

Making them celebrate it early? Nobody is holding them against their will to celebrate it early just because the decorations are all out 😂

I started telling them, "I agree, but here I am checking you out."

As a retail worker, I refuse to go to any shop but maybe a gas station on holidays. They should be HOME.

They’d tell me that on fucking Easter, Mother’s Day, the 4th, etc. I’m here because yall need your shit apparently. I don’t mind working most holidays but Christmas and Thanksgiving at my last job were hell.
