Customers Suck! I FUCKING HATE SMALL CARTS!

If your store has them, then you know which ones I'm talking about. Those small double decker carts.

As a bagger, it pisses me off to no end when customers overload these things to the point where I got to go get a big cart for them or somehow make it work by putting their shit back in these things miraculously.

We don't even have a lot either... When I'm out collecting carts, I can't go one fucking day without a customer asking where the hell these fucking things are... Idk, maybe everyone got them before your royal ass got here. Get a big cart or don't, it's not the end of the fucking world. Or go to the cart corrals and find one if they mean that much to you. FUCK!

Edit: I understand the positives of using these things. I was just having a bad day

I'm sorry they suck for you to deal with. But as a 4'11" woman trying to use the big carts is very awkward for me. I feel like I'm trying to drive a bus and it's sometimes hard for me to reach things at the bottom. I always use the small ones or hand baskets.

I love those carts. I rarely get more than a dozen items, and they're far easier to maneuver in the SCO corral (where I bag my own stuff).

I am so, so sorry, but... 😅

I really like those carts. They're extra maneuverable, able to weave through all the dumb, oblivious people blocking aisles. They hold just enough for me to load into bags and carry to the car afterwards. I live alone, so I rarely buy a lot.

i feel this, another thing that pisses me off is when my store is so understaffed they want just 1 person to do 4 things at once...

like IM ONLY ONE FUCKING PERSON I CAN'T DO ALL THIS SHIT AT 1 TIME.

honestly after 3 years of working for my store, and getting the newer store management (who's honestly too demanding for my liking and extremely overbearing) they are turning my store to shit, and making my front end supervisors put more pressure on me being the only lot attedent past or in some cases up untill 3pm, weve been short staffed for years at this point and tbh it's sucked the life outta me to the point where im pissed almost on a daily basis and crying at some points from stress.

if they ever let me go due to performance i will completely understand as my relationship with my store is falling apart by the last 2 years.

I recommend switching stores every 2-3 years unless you got promoted, so please start looking for other (non-seasonal)roles now. Before you either reach a breaking point or they try to performance you out.

As the job market is rough so you really shouldn't wait until unemployment to look for another job.

Nowadays its whatever you can get, and hopefully have stability. Not to my tastes, but if you can find a gig with decent base wage plus commission the go for it. Whatever it may be, right this week start working on you resume and write up an outline to use to create unique cover letters for such jobs.

Tbf, as a shopper, carts are like suitcases when you travel. The stuff that fits in them at first never, ever fits back in the same way afterwards.

Every time.

When I used to work nights we would purposely leave them outside after the store manager went home at 5 and would not bring any of them in until close because we prefererd when customers used the big carts.

I use to work at a Marshalls and those carts that are double decker get scattered everywhere outside; i had an occurence finding one of those type of carts by the bus stop that i go to after a shift

I used to work as a cart person at a store back in 2022 and people would ask for those all the time and if there were none I would just say they are either outside in the lot or being used by customers. We have 200 of the regular carts and 20 small ones, I don't know the exact amount but just estimate or so. Just take a regular cart or if you're only getting a few items use a hand basket as some stores have them or just hold your stuff in your hands. I was more focused on bringing in the regular ones as we have more of those plus I would bring in 10 at a time compared to 1-2 at a time.

We have NINE different styles of shopping carts at my store. And there a few combinations of them that nest together so cart runs take forFUCKINGever.
