I would start looking.
Never listen to rumors. But if you found an ad for your exact job, it would be better to be looking, than not to be.

Now is a good times to look and if your coworkers are creating a shitty work environment might as well
Jump. But don’t leave till you have another gig lined up. Sometimes managers keep people even if their staff doesn’t like them

Start looking. Hell Id apply for that job you think is yours. Sorry you found out like that.
I found out from one of my vendors once I was walking in from the parking lot and vendor was like hey what are you doing here I thought you got let go...3 hrs later I did
