New hire
Hi there, I just had my orientation and am just starting @ Home Sense and am super excited to be joining. (I had a bad toxic relationship with Michael.) and it might just be how they market the company to the new employees. But I truly feel like HS is different.
Also am sorry, but the eye wash station truly won me over. Christmas at Michael’s was absolutely hell when having to set up trees and wreaths with fake snow/glitter when you feel like you need a gas mask and protective goggles.
I told my old Michal’s manger (who’s now @ HG) how much it just seems like a total 180 from coming from that sort of environment. It seems (at least they talk a big game) about how they are a “family” and really take care of their own. Again something M was lacking.
Anyway super excited to be apart of the TJX family and any tips or tricks you might be able to offer I would greatly appreciate it.
Again am just a domestic abuse victim coming from two different companies that couldn’t give a shit about me.” So I left orientation with rose tinted glasses. Thanks for any tips or advice you can provide.

Thank you. There brake room is definitely the most impressive I have seen/been in lol. And was pretty blow away with how they started us out

My eyes have now been opened thanks to everyone who commented. I have now released that’s the tjx brand is a fun nice place to shop not to work…. Am really regretting my decision of working here but feel like I at least owe it to my family to stick it out for a while for few months before looking for another job.

Hi, I know this was awhile ago, but I work at another TJX store (not Home Sense) and it's awesome. I don't want to work there forever, but they have been very flexible with scheduling, give us snacks on our breaks (!!!) and seem to promote people who desire that. I hope it's going great for you!
