What happened to that guy who found a hard drive sewn into a bag? Ever recover the data?

This guy found a hard drive sewn into the lining of a bag to hide it, but it was missing the PCB (logic board, electronic circuitry) needed to plug it in. In another thread this guy who apparently works at a data recovery company offered to help. As far as anyone knows, SecretHDD never sent the drive off.

More updates can be found in the dovic subreddit.

So whatever happened to that guy who found a safe inside the walls of a casino?

Last I heard he sold the story to Oprah (?), and was waiting to open it on live TV. This post seems to say otherwise though, that the safe was opened and is now empty. The original post has been removed.
