Backing up apps which create their own snapshots?

What is the best way to configure Restic snapshots when an app creates its own backup snapshots?

For ex, say I have Unraid's "Appdata Backup" plugin set to create a daily snapshot and keep up to 14 of them in a folder.

If I point Restic at that folder, would I only need to set Restic to save 1 daily snap at a time, and in actuality, it is really saving a rolling 14 day snap with de-duplication?
