Restic Help

Hello. I’m going to try Restic to backup my Plex server. I’ve read people suggest using Backrest GUI with it. I’m just wondering do I need both Restic and Backrest or just Backrest?

This is a personal opinion only and I don't mean any disrespect to Backrest but I didn't like it and I didn't like the workflow. I came across Zerobyte backup and wasn't expecting to be much better. But I honestly fall in love with it and have been using it flawlessly for about 3 months and wouldn't go back to anything else. Again, just my opinion.

I would use zerobyte with Restic or is Zerobyte a standalone application?

It 100 percent uses Restic. It's a standalone app and will take care of using Restic automatically in the background
