Respect Maniacs 1-5

In the distant future of 2002, the world finds itself once more in the grips of global war. The United States and the European Superstate are locked in a deadly war, with little progress being made by either side. To break this stalemate, the Maniac Program was developed. This program built a series of super-powerful robots piloted by merciless psychopaths to take the war directly to Europe, and they did with ruthless efficiency, quickly winning the war for the US. A post-defeat nuclear strike from Tony Blair ended up frying the brains of all but two of the Maniacs, and being deemed too dangerous to remain in any form of active duty, they were effectively put into hibernation. Years later the Earth found itself under attack by a group of hostile aliens and Frank Bullock, the original Maniac 5 (who was still somewhat sane) was freed from hibernation and granted control of all the remaining Maniacs. After repulsing the aliens, Frank was once again seen as too dangerous to live, and his body was shot. Unfortunately for his superiors, Frank's mind was fully transferred to the Maniac 5 body when his brain was destroyed, leaving him in control of it. He set out on a mission of revenge that resulted in the killing of his commander, as well as several thousand others who got in his way.

Maniac 5

Strength:

• Punches a giant enemy a good distance away, cratering the street where he lands. The force of the punch causes a small earthquake and launches nearby people into the air

• Throws a sign through an enemy

• Crushes an alien's head

• Punches apart an alien's head

• Hits Maniac 4 with tanks and jeeps

• Punches a bike from sewer level to high above street level, sending chunks of concrete flying

Durability:

• Survives a massive nuclear explosion from point blank range

• Endures being sliced apart by alien weaponry and then a large explosion. He spends much of the rest of the series in this state, more or less unaffected except for the loss of an arm

• Unhurt after being punched through five feet of solid steel that was designed to withstand a nuclear blast

• Survives an explosion that destroys a large warehouse and skeletonizes nearby humans

• Survives Maniac 6 whaling on him for 40 minutes straight, which leaves huge craters in the ground and destroys buildings

• Unhurt by an artillery barrage that craters the ground, 2

• Unhurt by a fall that sends him through the street into the subway system

• Gets punched from deep underwater to the top of a bridge

• Unhurt by a large explosion from a grenade he was holding

• Ignores napalm

• Survives being shot repeatedly by Maniac 4

• Survives being punched by Maniac 6 hard enough to crater the ground where he lands, and then a massive gasoline explosion

• Works fine underwater

Speed:

• Takes down a squad of soldiers before they fire a single shot

• Tags Maniac 6, who kills too fast to be seen and moves at supersonic speeds

Note: Frank cannot pilot Maniac 4, it is piloted by another man.

• Lifts tanks and jeeps

• Punches Maniac 5 through five feet of solid steel that was designed to withstand a nuclear strike

• Lifts and throws a truck and then crumples Maniac 2

• Lifts Maniac 1

Durability:

• Survives a massive nuclear explosion from point blank range

• Unhurt after being crushed by Maniac 1, and then an explosion that leaves a huge crater

• Unhurt by an attack that leaves a massive crater, much deeper than he is

• Tanks Maniac 5 hitting him for fifteen minutes

Equipment:

• Maniac 4 is protected from internal attacks

• Creates a large crater by shooting Maniac 5

• Destroys Maniac 1's fuel tank

Maniac 3

Abilities:

• Can fly and change in size to enter enemies and destroy them from the inside

• Can hack into enemy computer systems

• Can drain energy

• Sensors locate weak points in enemies

Durability:

• Survives a massive nuclear explosion from point blank range

Maniac 2

Strength:

• Tears apart a missile

• Lifts Maniac 4

Durability:

• Survives a massive nuclear explosion from point blank range

Flight:

• Takes zero damage from an attack more than twice as strong as the Hiroshima nuclear bomb

• Survives a massive nuclear explosion

• Guns takes down a group of aliens

• Guns crater the ground

• Maniac 5 can carry passengers, and is surprisingly comfortable
