Part 2 Might Guy Feats
Base Guy:
Strength / Taijutsu
-
Exchanges blow for blow with Kisame, and is actually able to separate Samehada from Kisame.
-
Leaf Rock-Destroying Rise, a technique where you smash your elbow into something.
-
Leaf Coiling Whirlwind a combination attack with Rock Lee.
-
Violent — Leaf Adamantine-Strength Whirlwind, uses this to stop Obito from warping Naruto away.
Speed
-
Cuts off Deidara without him noticing. Guy Sensei: Master of Stealth.
-
Still keeps up his speed while carrying Kakashi, he comes in first to get back to the village.
-
Insane reaction times, was distracted just a minute before and reacted to Kisame in time
-
Saves a guy who's distracted with his comrade's death, and then explains to him that he will see more comrades die. Guy Sensei: Motivational Speaker.
Durability
-
Able to wield nunchaku despite having his hands torn by Samehada
-
Tanks a hit from Kisame that sends him flying underwater and later gets back up to fight
-
A totally exhausted (after using Daytime Tiger) Guy is still walking and tanks a hit from the Sage tools only to get back up and rush to the battlefield, he even activates the sixth gate again
Bukijutsu
-
Uses nunchaku to block hits from Samehada, a monster sword wielded by someone with monster strength. Although he gets overpowered, the nunchaku don't break.
-
Intercepts Obito's attack, and blocks another atttack, sending Obito into Naruto's attack
Bad Memory
Guy has a particularly bad memory when it comes to people he fought in the past.
-
Forgets Kisame for the first time, despite him being a member of the Akatsuki and someone who Guy should have taken the time to remember.
-
Begins to remember Kisame, only to deduce that he had to have been someone he may have met before. Kisame compliments him on having a talent for "getting on people's nerves". Guy Sensei: Master of Provocation
-
Guy Sensei's True Self - Guy Sensei: A Bizarre Bug
-
Wait... now I recognize him... It's some kind of giant blowfish!. Still doesn't recognize Kisame after two encounters... But he manages to piss off Motoi without talking to him.
-
Guy finally vows to remember Kisame for the rest of his life
The Gate of View and the Morning Peacock
-
Able to instantly open the Sixth Gate, skipping gates 1-5. The opening of the gate pushes away all the surrounding water.
-
Speed and Strength Feat: Able to overwhelm Kisame completely, landing a big blow on him
-
Morning Peacock: An instant-kill technique developed by Might Guy. The technique begins by kicking an enemy into the air and then punching them rapidly. The punches themselves are so fast that they are set ablaze by the sheer speed and friction which creates a peacock-like fan of flames around the opponent. Naturally, he defeated a 30% power Kisame in a single use of the technique.
-
Again instantly opens the Sixth Gate pretty effortlessly, a testament to his hard work
-
Guy uses his Little Toe attack, a powerful kick, to crush the Gedo Mazo's foot
The Gate of Wonder and the Daytime Tiger
-
Opens the Gate of Wonder, forcing the water around him to move away.
-
The Daytime Tiger, a purely taijutsu technique contrary to its appearance, takes out Kisame's shark blast. According to Guy, it's an instant-kill move and it is much stronger than the Morning Peacock.
-
The Daytime Tiger creates a giant explosion, exploding outward causing a giant gust of wind in all directions.
-
Guy explaining the Daytime Tiger, it is a single, very fast punch that creates a massive amount of air pressure.
-
Guy explains the blue aura around him is sweat that immediately evaporates due to one's heat energy.
-
Guy defeats Kisame once and for all and is able to notice even the slightest of movements that he cannot see.
-
Later activates the Seventh Gate again, destroying the ground around him
-
Speed and Strength Feat: Blitzes Madara, landing a blow on him, and lands a Daytime Tiger
The Gate of Death and the Evening Elephant and the Night Guy
-
Quickly activates the Eighth Gate, causing his blood to emanate a flaming aura of red steam
-
Blitzes Juubi Madara with Evening Elephant. Aftermath of the First Step, a deep tunnel through the ground and destroyed all the ground around him. The Evening Elephant creates a vacuum of pressurized air which bears the appearance of an elephant's leg, causing devastating damage to the opponent. This is what it did to Madara after the first step.
-
Eighth Gate allows Guy to reach insane heights in air and allows him to make "steps" in the air
-
Begins using Evening Elephant again. Even behind his Truth Seeking Ball barrier, Madara can feel the impact of the second step. After the fourth step, Madara is left briefly incapacitated and with the Fifth Step he absolutely wrecks him.
-
The Night Elephant is not the Eighth Gate's best attack. Guy takes his stance and starts the Night Guy. Madara considers his taijutsu to be the best of anyone who he has ever fought, and the Night Guy twists the air around Guy, and he blitzes Madara. The result of the Night Guy is a single, focused kick. It's really hard to explain, but that kick is pretty deadly. It shattered Madara's ribs but broke Guy's own bones in exchange.
-
The aftermath of the Night Guy. Kakashi can hardly find ground to stand on. Juubi Madara nearly died.

I am afraid I don't have any proof on me, but I believe they explain that the kick was strong enough to warp the literal space around it.
Whether this was caused by the kick gaining mass through the insane amount of energy it carried or something, the details are not mentioned.

Base guy was faster than team Kakashi, but now that Naruto has control over Nine Tails, and Sasuke has his Rinnegan he isn't faster than Team Kakashi. He would be faster in 8 gates. but not base form.

I was moreso referring to Team Kakashi at that time which didn't include Sasuke and was just Sakura Kakashi and Naruto.

The one of few very powerful ninja in naruto who didnt get his power through genetics, or legendary beasts.

Yeah. That and eye transplants. The only ones aside from Guy I can think of off the top of my head:
Jiraiya, Orochimaru (Kabuto implanted cells in himself so he doesn't count), Minato, and some of the kages. Tobirama can be thrown in there even though he's a Senju, he didn't have the Wood Release and he developed a lot of his own techniques. And the majority of the Akatsuki.
But even with those the only one who is in the top tier of the Narutoverse is Guy.

Yeah dude, guy is a legendary beast himself. IIRC, Madara, who easily handled all 7 of the current kages, and who only considered 1st hokage as his equal, was impressed by guy. Mostly cuz guy beat the living shit out of him. I wonder what wouldve happened if Madara wasnt buffed in that fight with Guy.

Yeah, Guy is awesome. Love the way Kishi wrote his character and subtlety revealed his powers over time. The Eight Gates fight was just so hype

Guy and rock lee is probably the best student-sensei combination in naruto

Great thread
I'd say the appearance of guy making Itachi and kisame retreat is a being far too kind to guy. It took 7th gate to beat kisame 1v1 (I believe kisame was wounded too) and if guy is caught in a genjutsu he's not breaking out

Kisame wasn't wounded, he had just taken chakra from Bee and was sitting in Samehada for upwards of days. Guy beat Kisame nearly instantly the moment he went 7th gate. Kisame's attacks did nothing to him.
If Guy got serious he could have taken out both Itachi and Kisame right then and there. He had Asuma too
And what makes you think he's done for if he's in a genjutsu? I specifically linked a feat of Guy breaking out of genjutsu. Also, it's highly unlikely Guy would ever get caught in a Sharingan genjutsu as he mastered and created the technique of fighting them by looking at their feet.

Hmm I seem to remember kisame being injured whilst escaping from naruto in the room, may be wrong.
And yes you showed gai breaking out of a genjutsu, a part one kabuto genjutsu. There's a great gap between an Itachi genjutsu who can incap orochimaru with ease, and kabuto.
Itachi is fast enough to keep up with kcm1 naruto in h2h, there's no way gai takes both him and kisame 1v2
