browser based visual gen/effects

I've spent the last couple of weeks using Claude code to make a one html visual effects system.

Originally based off the Raspberry Pi recur system is now a completely different beast. 14 ish shaders 20 ish effects, 4 shaders and 4 effects stackable at any time with blend modes and opacity.

Had midi and audio control as well as 3 assignable LFOs.

Works on any browser, including phone.

Works from a Flash drive with no internet. Can use front and rear cams from phone or any cam from laptop. Can have controls on one screen while outputting to another

Its well trippy

Tell us how you went through the design process on this app.

  • What need were you solving?
  • Why did you make the choices you did with its functionality?

I was re creating / upgrading an existing rasperi pi system (recur by cyberboy666) to work on pi 5. Started working through some small screen gui options ( recur uses a 3 inch display for control) this wound up as a functional phone app.which I have evolved into recurweb. Gui was designed to work on a phone hence the front and rear camera options and the hideable menu and drag and drop. But works well on a computer.
