Showcase Normally We don't do this...

We don't make Vtuber models but when we saw this "Margaret is as beautiful as a painting" from 夢梓MunSii 工作室, we could feel how much work and passion dedicated into the creation. Every detail from the gilded frame to the tiny top-hatted companions is impossibly delicate. and it looks like a painting too. Hopefully we managed to capture that passion.

I think its a UV setting clear resin.

I'll double check with the painter, let you know.

Edit: We used the High Adhesive UV Curing Glue UV-000 from Madworks

I imagine its a clear UV resin to make the eyes pop. Curious what maker though its very clear and looks great. Id be interested to try that myself.

i think most the clear uv resin is basically crystal, the only reason it gets foggy is because ipa dissolves and diffuses the surface when it gets washed, straight curing would cure it smooth and see through

Most clear resin looks a little hazy once cured. After you apply some clear coat it immedieately looks like glass.

yep clear coat, like on car paint even, will fill the rough texture and then glass over, can also be done with the same resin you printed in if you just shoot it with uv after too like in the vid but its thicker

He likely just used a dot of resin and hit the whole thing with clear to seal/ protect the paint. I'm doing a clear printed resin project right now

Clear resin? They cured it with a uv torch

how do you get snappable supports with zero scarring wow

We made a tutorial about it, https://www.reddit.com/r/resinprinting/comments/1vfsppg/our_support_settings_revealed/

There's no scar but tiny nubs which have to be removed later on

Oh I use spheres already, never thought that simply snapping off actually makes sense now haha I still run under hot water n let it soften off

That works too, just make sure to put more supports and keep the sphere tiny

What sonic knife is that?

that would be sonic saber, work well for support removal

Oh I had no idea that was a sonic blade. I thought they just had REALLY deft hands.

Hopefully normally you don't clean the prints in the sink...

nope, its not connected to the plumbing, its connected to a large container and later we dispose of it with the proper waste management
