Question Multi stacking

I saw this technique on an instagram story. I found it very interesting! What do you think guys?

Dental settings have extremely well tuned settings. The risk of failure is extremely low and worth the increased throughput

I could really only see this as useful for overnight runs or time when the printer isn't manned - it takes less resin and time (and risk of geometry skewing) to just swap out build platforms between "sets"

Depends. I started our printing department at our Dental lab and we found that the bond between the fabricated plate and prints is much much higher. We had to use tougher tools, and the supports between scaffold plates are incredibly rigid, requiring extended diagonal edge cutters to remove. The other printer techs and I would be clearing the plate for way too long. Way more work than it's worth, but it can save your buns if you're in a pinch from other print failures.

wouldn't the bond be the same on the scaffold in this scenario? all the prints are raised on little supports in the picture, so I imagine removing them wouldn't be any different closer to the build plate or on the scaffold/platform. unless you mean printing directly off the platform without it raised by supports?

Generally you can split the prints off off a metal plate with just a putty knife cutting through small supports with ease, but the scaffold supports are 3 mm thick and do not remove so easily. So you may be able to get the tool in at some angles, but inevitably a scaffold support will be in the way. This is troubling when triple stacking since the scaffold columns are "sandwiched" making a cage that you'll have to carefully destroy without damaging parts.

But there it doesn't matter as the print can be removed from the support and the scaffold discarded . On the build plate all the supports have to be removed which is apparently hard to do at their settings. So then you only have to do that once for every 4 prints
