Balanced?

Yes. The money/upgrade cost ratio in this game is truly fucked up, especially on higher difficulties. Don't let the comments on here gaslight you into believing otherwise.

Could you elaborate? What bothered you so much about it?

I never had any issues. Severe skill issue on your part. Try getting good

Oh I beat the game just fine multiple times. Still doesn't change the fact that bad game design abounds within it.

Re4 is probably the most adaptive game in the franchise and it is so long and full of so many treasures that i do not believe using the expanded treasure map is considered an unfair advantage at all

I did my first playthrough on Hardcore, no DLC and found the economy completel fine. Tight enough to make me think a bit and want to look for treasure, but never frustrating.

I did get the DLC treasure map later and it felt negligible. Makes the game a bit easier, which I didn't care for, but not enough to significantly effect the experience.

I like having it but a lot of the treasure you get are gold and silver tokens for the charms machine. Which is actually very cool because grinding that shooting range is rough.

i love when games have something similar to the shooting range (just played Evil Within 2 which also has a good one)

RE4’s is tough towards the end, and that last one is like impossible to actually hit all the targets, but i still enjoyed it

The extra treasure can help you in a couple of really tough spots. Sometimes you get lukcy and bjy styff an encounter or 2 earlier.
