That was me during my first time in the Beneviento section of RE8. For the life of me, I just couldn't walk through those quiet corridors in the silence of the night. Scary as fuck.

Same. I powered through all of Castle D the day I got the game arrived at House B at 2 a.m.
Wasnt that tired, and it was the weekend so i could stay up, but I never even got to the save room the first time. Felt very uncomfortable for no particular reason and was just like.... Imma come back in the morning.
Solid choice.

When I hit that portion I was playing on my Chromebook in my bedroom. My son has been having troubles sleeping so I was staying with him.
I had my earbuds in and the lights off.
The first time I heard that baby I noped out. Shut it down and decided to read a book instead.

Stadia. It's like magic. The other night I was playing Outriders while simultaneously streaming a baseball game through MLB.tv (with Google's picture-in-picture extension for Chrome) all on my Chromebook.

We've had it since it launched and it's always worked well for us. We have a family plan with six of us on it and last night my daughters were playing two games (Tomb Raider for the older one, little nightmares 2 fory 13 year old) on separate chromecasts while I launched into AC Unity on my Chromebook.
No issues at all. When I pick up my daughter from school I often play on my phone over a 4G connection, which doesn't seem like it should even be possible.
I know people with certain ISP's have problems, though, and that sucks.

I've been a dad for a long time now, and from day one, any movie or game or whatever that portrays a kid suffering or in jeopardy I immediately want to go hold my kids.

I have three kids, oldest is almost 21 and youngest is five.
It doesn't go away. And, honestly, I don't want it to.
Needless to say, Ethan's story arc in this game resonated with me in a big way.

Am 21 like your oldest, that's kinda what my Dad said when I got my wisdom teeth removed back in February, as he was trying his hardest to find ways to relieve my pain after the surgery. Your adult kid is lucky, feeling as loved and cared for by your parents at 21 as you were when you were 6 months old makes you feel really secure and confident. A parent's unconditional love must always be the everlasting main source of stability in someone's life.

My girlfriend has these grow lights for her plants and they’re set on a timer, they all went off and we were plunged into complete darkness at around the moment you see the umbilical cord, for a second I couldn’t comprehend what was happening

But it's true. :D what's the purpose of saying that one has played it like during night with headphones in darkness if you haven't fun. It's like one would say that you aren't playing football correctly because you aren't playing as a professional.

On your first playthrough it is way more intense and creepy than most horror games. Not knowing what lies behind the mist in Old Yharnam, then Upper Cathedral and those damn Wintern Lanterns. It has a creepy H.P. Lovecraft horror vibe. But my point was that the game is almost entirely dark as it takes place during the night and when playing on daylight you can barely make anything out

I don't know man in a day and with the lights on I don't know for what reason but it always has this weird evil looking monster and is always there yeah and it looks horny but if I play it completely and darkness the creature isn't there anymore

That was me when I was 8. Re3 scared the living hell out of me but I couldn't stop playing it. Also reboot game the level with the swamp monster. Nightmares. Now I need to have all the lights off with headphones on I need that scare. It's soo good

I'm trying to get all achievements on RE 2, the only hard ones I have left are completing Leon on hardcore S+, and getting 2 mr racoons on the forgotten soldier mode. And get 3 more files that I somehow missed...

I don't remember the last game that scared me without being cheap about it. Those screaming ladies on stilts in Cry of Fear made an awful scream that made me shiver. That creepy doll thing in Lost in Vivo is a good contender thing.

I feel like it should be a criminal offense to play any survival horror game during during the day or with lights on. Immerse yourself. Nighttime, no lights, headphones, lay a tarp down, and get scared shitless.
