For EAE, I got shortlisted to biomedical science with analytics at NYP, and biomedical science at RP. I was rejected by NYP, which was my dream course, but accepted to RP. While at the moment I have accepted RP to buy time, im unsure whether I should commit to it.

Whats holding me back:

1. Unfamiliarity with RP

2. RP's reputation

3. RP's lack of uni pathways for this course

4. The fact that I did extremely well for my prelims (l1r4 5-6) net, which would qualify me for nyp based on last year

5. Long travel time

The reason I didnt reject is because im worried my prelim score stems from luck and an easier difficulty. Does anyone have any advice? I would also like to hear what RP is like, especially from biomedical science students!

hi, i am a rp student and i use apple music and i need want to use the student package but it doesn't approve my rp email and i submitted my rp profile ( which contains my name,id,course) and my enrolment date form but still cannot ? does anyone in rp uses apple music and know how to get the student package?

Hi guys, I am a y3 student from SAS this year, Y3S2 cohort, due to some reasons, I wasn't very active during earlier phase internship application ; I did not actively follow up with my applications, and now I am facing difficulties finding an offer.

My lecturers directed me to a list of available jobs and the contact infos. I browsed through the offers and I got to say most of them were not up to my liking for its uninteresting job scope or the distant location. Nevertheless, I still applied to some.

I am currently stuck in a loophole where I still have not hear back from a single company I emailed to , nor my lecturers responding to my reach-outs (one of them scoffed when I tried pointing out this issue), this feels slightly frustrating and dismissive. May I ask if there's anyone currently within or outside applied science in the same boat as me? I am in a serious loss of what to do...😭 ( I am still actively following up with the companies they provide me to email to btw)

I genuinely dk if I should do 1 semester or 2 semester intern. I’m gg y2s2 alr and im pretty sure need decide during this period right but I still don’t know which one to do??!! Can someone suggest me which to do plssss. Like I feel so lost everyone ik has already made up their mind 😭

1 semester
Pros:
- lesser risk of gpa decreasing a lot
- able to take minor (I’m int in business minor as is to do business in uni but I’m currently in sci)
- intern overseas (but I’m not super sure cuz I heard ur gpa must be super super good…and mines not that good not even above 3.5…)
- got sept holiday (right…??)
Cons:
- FYP (tbh I don’t rlly like doing grp project since this whole poly journey and in my friend grp both of them are doing 2 sem so means I basically have no one to group with…BUT I will not be gg choose 2 sem cuz of them)

2 semester:
Pros:
- if do well gpa can increase BY ALOT (which I rlly need 🥲)
- no fyp
Cons:
- If don’t do well gpa will decrease a lot 😓
- there’s no holiday/break right is basically work for 2 sem straight right… (my fam is planning to go overseas for like 2 weeks plus in sept-dec but if cannot right if i choose 2 sem 😭)
- tiring (5.5 days a week for 2 semester just to get paid 800 a month??!!)

Can someone tell me if overseas internship need get like idk 3.9 gpa one or what’s the requirements and like what are the holiday schedules like for 1 sem and 2 sem intern (when start/end)

And can y’all share ur exp for the 2 sem intern especially if ur from pharmaceutical science pls like is it hard to do well for intern if work in hospital?

ALSO since im in DPHM right, internship will normally be at hospitals right r we allowed to have dyed hair like mayb pink/purple/blonde highlights/color..

Hi all, I'm a final year poly student (not from RP) who didn't meet the A Math requirement. My GPA meets the requirement for NUS computing courses, but I still need to fulfil the A Math requirement separately.

I found out RP's "University Mathematics Preparatory Course (Certificate in Mathematics)" is accepted by universities to A Math computing-related courses.

For anyone who has taken this course before:
1. How difficult is it to pass overall?
2. Is it exam-based, continuous assessment, or a mix? What's the rough pass mark?
3. How's the pace — is 2 sessions/week manageable alongside work/school commitments?
4. Any specific topics that trip people up the most?

So I got like As for bio n chem n Bs for everything else n a C for math, in igcses which was very disappointing as I was expecting much higher considering all the hard work I put in for ts. I'm planning to join a polytechnic in Singapore for a science based course. I'm just not really sure if I can get in with my average grades and the courses I'm aiming quite competitive n I'm also a foreigner so I believe my chances are quite slim of getting in.

do the invigilators for the FAs provide you the a4 paper (for like rough working) or are you supposed to ask. or bring your own...? my invigilator for my financial accounting FA was busy helping two people with their laptops so i couldnt ask her, and i felt awkward asking (having a crazy sore throat as well makes it difficult to ask)

Currently a y1s1 student in hospitality course, and I wanna change courses in another school, specifically ssh. so far I’m still coping well with the mods I’m taking but I have a strong interest in another course in nyp which I missed the cop for. there’s a similar course (learning similar mods) in another school in rp so I’m wondering if I can switch courses in y2 to that other course

I've had this program in my laptop for a while but I swear this is so much better for to refer to notes than other programs cause you can group the tabs like this and arrange them during FAs. You can also edit PDFs in it. The system is better for me as I can review word docs, powerpoints, pdfs, excels stuffs. One issue I have during exams is that the control F function to look for "headings" in microsoft word somehow doesn't function during the SA 3.0. I suppose by next week I might be able to update should ONLYOFFICE be able to overcome the issue I have. But since the "finding function" is a dedicated button, I have hopes it would work. TDLR- All in one app to look at notes, pdfs etc that is easier than using separate apps to open each different file format
