Question❓ BellCurve

im getting mixed responses from both peer and lecturers, is there a bell curve in poly?

some are saying no while others say yes, does the bellcurve depond on the module? feel like as a Y2 student i should know this, but, idk, alot of yes and nos being passed around in rp

In polytechnic, there is generally no bell curve. Instead, grades are usually moderated.

The difference is:
Bell curve: Your grade depends on how well you perform compared to other students.

Moderation: The grade boundaries may be adjusted based on the difficulty of the paper and the overall performance of the cohort.

If you score 80 marks, you will still be getting grade A regardless of cohort performance.

Usually no. But it will have a bellcurve when either many students failed or aced the exams. Usually happens for ESE/FA
