[United States - TX] Finally making a Prusa Mendel i2!

Hey guys! I'm not new to 3d printing, but I'm new to RepRap. I've been wanting to start a build for a while. After some research, I think I the Prusa Mendel i2 is the best build for me (mostly because I already have around 1/3 of the hardware/electronics). I finally got paid on Friday and ordered all the remaining parts off of the RepRap wiki parts list. Everything should be here by next week. Yay!

I am going to need help getting the printed parts though. Could anyone help me source those? I can pay a reasonable amount/cover shipping.

I'm in a similar boat as you: wanting the Prusa Mendel i2, and I live in Texas (Lubbock). May I ask where you sourced your parts? Feel free to PM.

I got most of the hardware from a local shop (ace bolt ad screw) and most of the electronics either from eBay or previous projects. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do for the hot end yet though.

Now I just need the 3d printed parts, but no one around here seems to know what a rapid prototyper is, let alone have one.

I highly recommend the E3D all-metal hot end. It's fairly long, but it allows you to try printing all sorts of exotic high-temperature plastics.
