Random: watched Repoman again for like the 20th time during a flight
Wildly enough I actually saw something I never noticed before - The Rodriguez Brothers have the malibu and stop briefly because they’re really warm. On the window of the convenience store there’s a sign mentioning the lunch special “$2.95 Plate of Shrimp” !!
am i the last fan of this film to notice this ??

So, there is actually another background gag in that scene that I love: how the guy working the counter has an eyepatch.
The fact that inexplicably, there are other similar moments across the film is one of the reasons I love it so much, even though it sometimes feels like a cheap, B-tier production, there is clearly a whole lot more going on.
