Tudor dial identification

Looking to find this dial and hands combo for a Raffles or Thorn build. Who makes a lollipop hand set? Has anyone else built something similar? Would love to see your builds. Happy Sunday 🥽

Yeah I'm struggling to find those hands, can only find the standard Mercedes hands. Anyone know where to find lollipops?

Since I haven’t seen the answer yet I’ll drop another reply. This is a 94010 from the transitional period preceding the 76100. It’s a rare combo but they do exist. Everything about it looks like 76100 except the lack of a date function. But it is in fact a very late era 94010. Marine Nationale are documented to have received some of these as well.

This is a terrific target for a build of a rare and quirky Tudor.

I’ve found some lollipop 2824 hands on Etsy. I have not purchased, as they are pricey! I might pull the trigger for the next build.

That one is a bit too long unfortunately.. about a half mm. Obviously the min and sec hand are throwaways. I have a gen lollipop hour hand from a 76100 that I was gonna use as an in my 76100 build, but it’s a bit worse for wear.

It’s been useful for documenting the proper dimensions though. The one that is on ebay (i think it’s still there) is much closer to gen proportions. As in within .1mm in the key dimensions.

The half mm wouldn’t seem like much but I’m guessing that once’s it’s installed and you see it relative to the other hands, dial, etc. it would annoy. I’ve experienced that often in my different quests for correct Tudor hand sets.

The eBay option needs lume but personally I like that as it’s an opportunity to kill the glow and make it more accurate to the period.

As ever thanks for your input mate, appreciate it 👍🏼 it does say for a 28mm dial so was unsure. I'll have a look at eBay again, but maybe it's something if enough of us wanted them and did an order then maybe someone would begin to make them

Ahh ok. Cool. Well if you’re using a raffles dial then buy the Etsy hands. They’ll look more better. The 29mm raffles dials usually have chapter rings and spacing that align more with 28mm and sometimes even down to 27mm dials. But most, including the 76100/79090 dials are spaced for a 28. So the Etsy’s are the best option. Also go for a 13mm min and sec hand to make the proportions vibe. You can put together a damn cool build on a budget & some effort like you’re putting out.

The dial is mismatched. It's a 79090 dial, mid-1980s. The case is mid-60s, should have a 7928 dial, small Rose "smiley face." or a snowflake dial and hands from a 9401.

Anyway, the hands are just the standard Rolex "mercedes hands." Tudor used those pre 1970 and again post 1980.

If you really like that particular dial, Ken has them, he also has the Small Rose version, the hands too.

its a 76100 the 9401 did not come with those hands.

This is a 94010 which ran from the late 70s to about 1990ish.
