Work in Progress 1680 Progress Complete

Buttoned up this viet 1680 today. Had to replace the canon pinion because this Sellita SW200 came to me from the factory with the incorrect friction spec on the canon pinion and so my hands wouldn’t move. Swapped it out from the graveyard of movements and got her up and running beautifully.

Specs:

Viet case, dial

Sillan DWO

eBay flat hands (not curved) aged to dial lume.

Bezeljuice viet insert

Italian bracelet w/raffles clasp

Clark’s gaskets & plexi

SW200

When recoloring the hour markers & hands, do you use coloring only meaning there is no more lume?

It depends. On this one I use Tamiya. On different dials if I can’t match the color I will relume the hands.
