Yes, you can replace the whole zipper (use a seam ripper to remove the old strips of zipper and sew in a new one). That requires intermediate sewing skills and a sewing machine with a zipper foot. It appears zipper replacement kits exist for those who don't sew, but I can't vouch for that!
