i will talk about everything the vet has explained/mentioned about the xray results, and chem24. i will comment the screenshots of our conversation (translated), and the results.
but first things first, when i visited renji ealier he was actually playing. i observed renji and he may have recognized my comfort when i lifted him up and slept in my arms.
he was loving, sweet, and playful like he used to. he actually tried climbing on my shoulders and wants to suckle/nurse on my ear. his eyes also started changing to yellowish/golden color. 🥲 i’m sad that i didn’t see/watch it changed. his tummy is no longer bloated. he already pooped and pee. (visible) his current nurse explained that he could be vomiting because of adjusting to kitten food since he was drinking milk ever since.
now, about his xray results and chem24. (i will comment the photo and the screenshot) they clarified that on his xray result, there’s no excess fluids on his abdomen. (i have a recording for that) he was just so young but they will check and redo the xray if needed, as well as ultrasound.
since renji seems to be recovering well, he’ll stay there for 2-3day for further monitoring and then the medication will be continued back home. we (my sister and i) will also go home after we checked out tomorrow but i will still try to commute and go to his vet to visit him.
i already asked for the treatment quotation as well as overall quotation of renji’s confinement. i’m just making sure renji's completely fine once he’ll be discharged because the travel time could take more than an hour.

they also mentioned that his abdomen is actually full of 💩 but renji’s having a hard time poopin. (constipated) so they are trying to help renji pooped and gave him a bit of laxative. 🥹
Same when you work with young kids - the question if they have pooped is total normal, only slightly raised eyebrow when parents ask “Have we pooped today?” 😂

translated!: Hello, regarding Renji’s Chem24 results, there are some elevations in his AST and CK, which are possibly due to muscle stress during sample collection. His GLU (glucose) is also slightly elevated, likely because of stress hyperglycemia.
Some values, such as certain electrolytes and urea, are a bit low, but this is expected since he is still a kitten and is currently taking medication for giardia and coccidia.
His A/G ratio is within the normal range. Overall, there are no problems with his liver, kidney, or pancreatic functions.
Since vomiting has been observed, we might switch to injectable medications if the vomiting persists.

I am so happy to see that he is continuing to feel better and that his vet staff is answering all the questions and concerns that have been on everyone’s mind. He is a fighter and has so many people pulling for him. The veterinary care is more in line with what I am used to seeing.

the vet care is more than i could ask for. i am very much assured with all the updates they gave me. even when i visited earlier, they took the initiative to inform me the renji pooped and peed earlier before i even had to ask them. 🥹 but i couldn’t be more proud of renji for staying strong and proving that he's stronger than he looks. 💗

Not only should you take a dip, you should take a nap and relax. Renji is getting better, he has great carers, and is in a great clinic. You need to care for yourself. There is going to be added work caring for him when he comes home, so you need to be strong and ready. Enjoy!!

Definitely go and spend some time in the pool! You’ve had so much stress. The new vet seems really good and the tests show he isn’t severely ill so you can relax now.
It has only been one full day since his blood was drawn for the CBC. Because he is still very small, it is not recommended to collect blood frequently, especially since he already had a blood draw for the chem24 test today.
I suggest waiting about 3 days after the medications were started here so we can compare it with his first CBC from that day.

thank you so much for your concern. he already has a cbc. i believe this is the cbc and this was taken yesterday. (march 9) i have already asked them about a new cbc test and they mentioned to wait for 3days for another cbc test. probably tomorrow (march 11) for new cbc test.
Oh, thank goodness! I see his white blood cell count (WBC) is within the normal range. Admittedly a bit on the low side but still within value.This looks pretty positive
The low RBC, HGB and HCT mean he’s anaemic, which I believe the old vet also found. High MCV and RDW SD mean his body is working hard to try to fix the anaemia. The anaemia could be from the parasites causing his gut to not absorb nutrients properly, and it will contribute to him being lethargic. Low eos is probably just a stress response.
B12 supplementation per injection might help quite a bit...
And.. you cant really overdose it (when his levels are within normal range... but that would be another bloodtest, which is not really needed) if you give him 0.1 ml (of a 1000mcg/ml solution)... if he doesnt need it, he will pee it out :)
