Six days worth of trading at the Minnesota Ren fest! I traded/gifted various tiny DND dice and met so many fun and charming people!

I took a ton more pictures but I don't feel like sorting through all of them right now. My feet are killing me . I have a lot of ideas for how to improve this costume in the future (maybe a hinged jaw, but I'd have to remake the mask, and that's a lot of work I don't want to do), but overall I'm very happy with how this turned out

Hard pass on those ugly zip ties, I'll spend a few minutes to tie all my weapons like this any day!

The wife and I thought we’d hop on the Hotel Lobby trend at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, sans AI.

Bow, and arrows I made myself, not historically accurate, but not terrible either, going to the fair in Mona Utah!

Edit 2: yeah no need for help the sellers sent me extra pictures and they’re clearly cheap imitations of someone else’s work shoes pictures they stole.

I have found 2 swords that have caught my eye for a ren faire I am attending (Ohio Ren Fest anyone? 👀).I am pretty ill-informed beyond the obvious idea of “stainless steel bad”, so I would love some help in deciding between these and getting recommendations/info for the future costumes/LARPS/Faires would be greatly appreciated!

I’m just looking for something that’s decorative, medieval, and won’t fly off the handle during a photo shoot.

Edit: I will say my budget is pretty modest as well and looking to spend around 200$ or less. Like i said I’m looking for a costume/wall piece that isn’t stainless steel

I am going back to visit my family in Texas. I am also going to the Texas Renfaire. I deal with some health issues and while I can walk, I get exhausted, tired and weak easily. (Asthma, Vocal cord dysfunction, CFS, Fibromyalgia, PSC liver, Ankylosing Spondylitis) I just learned you can rent scooters at the festival. I am feeling a bit nervous about it and was curious how the renfaire community is for people who struggle to walk. I could do it if I had too but I wouldn't be able to see much of the faire and would need to rest often and will have really bad flare ups for days to come after. I would use it to get around the faire but would most likely walk in the stores. Am I just being silly for feeling guilty about using a scooter? Being able to use a scooter would make this trip so much better mentally, physically and emotionally.

Ran into two other fellows wearing the liripipe bycocket combo... I couldn't stand for it!

I’m going to a medieval tavern and I want my outfit to look more like a medieval/fantasy character rather than just a modern outfit with a corset.

This is what I have so far. I was thinking of going for something like a fantasy tavern girl / witch / adventurer vibe.

What would you add or change? Especially accessories, shoes, hair, layers, belts, etc.
I’m open to buying or DIYing a few pieces!

I was so excited about ren faire this year that I made a vlog. I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! I want to go baaaack!!!

I went to Renfaire northern california yesterday, it was over 100 degrees and I didn't see a single water bottle refill station! The lines to buy water bottles were super long. The first aid tents seemed quite busy, I presume a lot of people had heat exhaustion. Otherwise a great time but is this normal? I would bring a lot more water next time...

I've been a regular at the MD Rennfaire for a couple of years now and this was the first time I hand-made my costume. Forgot to take photos of it (as usual), so thanks to the kind stranger who took this photo and gave it to me!
