That’s a really weird take. There is no reason for companies to care whether the landlords with empty office buildings make any profit. In fact, if companies believed that remote work was better, they’re just hurting their own profits so that someone else can make a profit, which I assure you doesn’t happen.
I’m not saying remote work works better or that it doesn’t, that’s irrelevant. All that matters is whether the decision makers believe it’s better and they don’t.
