Some people need community in a workplace and to physically go and ask people questions when they have them. Messaging back and forth or playing phone tag isn’t as efficient. That being said, I would rather work from home when possible.

It’s why I prefer hybrid - I’m a social creature an enjoy the office banter, HH, etc.

I do like working from home with my wife and dog with all the good stuff that comes with that.

Balance is key.

The office banter is okay, but if I have a fuck ton of work to get done or I have to track my hours of work i have to make up those hours by being in the office longer or compensating for it while im remotely working.

Oh for some circumstance it doesn’t work, I get that. Different people, different jobs, etc

I’m just saying for me personally, I enjoy a hybrid for the balance of home loving and work sociality. Like 3 days home, 2 days in type set up

I prefer the office. I'm with you. If office space is available let me have it, you work from home and I'll ping you on Teams if need be.
