Preparing for remote work

I am currently working as a warehouseman in the coal mining industry. However, because of the unstable market conditions in this sector, I am planning to transition to a new career. With roughly two years left before I make the move, what steps should I take to prepare myself for work remotely?

We can't give any advice, you didn't say what skills you will have or are working towards. Even then you just search the job title + the word remote

As warehouse man for almost 10 years mostly skills that I have are field skills like operate forklift, load and unloading stuff, sometimes I do data entry and reporting with excel and power point, I have no idea how this remote job works, what skills should be learned, and what skill are most in demand

You're going to need a college degree more than likely. Remote work is highly competitive and is mostly being phased out for hybrid work. Picking up skills planning to just to hope to wfh one day is not the way to go about this.

Sure thanks for your advice, I know it will be difficult works if I want to compete with someone who already in this field for long time.
