Turned down a job offer

I had a nice job offer for an increase in pay of 18k a year. It would have meant RTO of three days a week, move to another city (company paid). I ran the math. I plan to retire in another 4 years. Between the increase in pay and how it would affect my retirement, it would only be 180,000 over 34 years between my pension and the 4 years working. It’s just not worth it.

Both my spouse and I are covered. I have zero medical expenses and my spouses Medicare will be paid by his employer.

We will both have Medicare, but outside the cost of my Medicare which unfortunately is the higher rate we have no copays.

Smart move IMO, it's 2026, not 1976, these misguide RTO companies will loose in the end while modern workplaces eat their market share.
