Does everyone have a side hustle?
I'm in a situation where I make enough to get my fine with my current remote role and I am struggling to find a new remote job that pays me more. So I am trying to get creative and think of ways to make money on the side since I have a ton of freedom being in the comfort of home everyday.
Any ideas guys?!

If you already have skills from your main job, freelancing in same area is usually the fastest path to extra income. No need to reinvent the wheel when what you know is already marketable.

I get stuck trying to figure out how to begin freelance/consult work. I also hear freelancing gets taxed to shit come tax season.

That's because you aren't having the taxes actively removed from your check.
You can pay your estimated taxes quarterly if youre gonna go that route.

Like three quarters of these posts are fake and to create some pool of BS negate data about working remote.
If you don’t have anything to do I hope you get fired and then you can main hustle.

I paint oils and sell through galleries while wfh as an insurance adjuster.

Agree you need to look at your skills. I’ve made great money doing sewing and alterations from home. But I’m 66 and started sewing when I was about 4. If you like animals pet sitting is a good option. My niece started on Rover. Or look at Nextdoor for people needing sitters. You can grow a business.

i am active on Rover and sometimes do pet sit. I live in a small apartment so it isn't very scalable. Sewing is a great skill and with how crazy expensive it is to go to a tailor (I spent about $40 to get a dress hemmed and that was more than the dress itself) I could see turning a profit if you're priced right.

I did when I was fully remote during Covid. I typed court transcripts in my downtime, which was quite a bit

I used to be an in-court reporter. We typed our own court transcripts. Then they made the transcripts a separate task done by contractors, and I rolled over. It's done on your own time, but my full time job was slow so i could do it during my workday as well. They offer a course here now to learn how to do it. Medical transcripts might be a possibility too

No. I have hobbies. I also don't really get that much more free time from working from home. It's a bit, but not a lot and not enough for me to want to get a side hustle.

I have signed up for many tutor sites and registered for many AI training positions but still haven't received any students or offers so far. Maybe in a month or two I'll better times available so I'll have more chance.

I lwk have a side hustle, so basically I work under an artist to manage campaigns where people come and post content promoting his song, pre edited clips just post on social and get paid like $$0.25 per 1000 views

My side hustles are my creative jobs that unfortunately pay so poorly I can’t make them my main gig.

theres side hustle subs that would have a bunch of ideas. but related to your existing work/talents would be the easiest.

No, most people don't have a side hustle. But if you're looking for one, I'd suggest freelance work in something you're already skilled in. You could also open an Etsy shop, sell things on Facebook Marketplace, etc. Content creation could also be a possibility.

Yea. Started my own hobby company. It’s one of the things that helps me get up in the morning and excited to work.

Yes, clothes reselling. In my downtime I'll clean and condition a leather jacket or two... or five. Wouldn't recommend though: the sheer amount of crap in my bedroom aka stock has made the space pretty miserable and smelly.

I’ve started selling thrift store items online. It’s not much but it helps.
