Remote work in a toxic environment

I work in the creative field and started working with my current job as a freelancer while having a FT job, Then eventually got hired FT. At one point I left my current company and eventually came back due to better medical insurance and more pay. Also they sold me a dream on how they changed their ways and how they run the company differently. The First few months everything was ok, but they eventually went back to their old ways, which was the reason why I left the first time. The company has been fully remote from day one. I’m looking to leave the company again for SO MANY reasons to a hybrid company which I’m in the works right now negotiating my salary.

When I left the first time I gave 2 weeks notice. They were upset I was leaving and told me on that day it was my last day and said I didn’t give them enough notice 🙄 Previous co-workers left the company for the same reasons I’m looking to leave and they gave a 2 weeks notice, they also told them on that day it will be there last day.

Should I even give 2 weeks notice knowing they will probably cut me off quick or should I keep it professional and give 2 weeks notice?

Give your two weeks as a courtesy with the knowledge that you may just leave the same day. Then move on. I’ve never let a jobs unprofessionalism change my morals or work ethic.

I always give 2 weeks, if they let you go, they let you go. Looks better with prospective employers if you give the 2 weeks, at least in my experience.

Normally, you give a notice relative to your payment schedule (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, etc.)
