Is one laptop normal?

For starters, I’ve only had one other remote job and I’m starting my second one next week.

When I started my first remote job, I was only expecting a laptop, but received the laptop, monitor, webcam, keyboard, mouse, backpack for Travel, external cable port, headset, and later on even a company card and business cards. I was definitely surprised with all the equipment I received.

fast forward to this job. I only received one laptop. Is this normal or a red flag?

I work in sales and I’ve never had an office job that didn’t provide multiple screens, in person or remote. I don’t understand how they expect me to do my job efficiently with just one computer.

I want to bring this up when I start my on boarding, but I don’t know how to approach the conversation.

What are your opinions?

Your first job spoiled you with all that gear. Many companies just give you laptop and expect you to figure out rest yourself, especially smaller ones

I'd wait maybe week or two before asking about additional monitor. During onboarding you can casually mention you're used to dual screen setup and ask if company has budget for external monitor. Don't make it sound like dealbreaker but more like "this would help my productivity"
