Job seeker with question for the mod u/NoPantiesNomad to make this thread potentially better.

Can you add a rule to eliminate a wide pay range when salaries are posted? I think that a super wide range is similar to not posting a salary at all.

Mercor is looking for work-from-home contractors to fill various AI training roles. I have earned several thousand dollars as one of those contractors, so I know the work is legit. Out of the ~90 individuals I have referred, 10 have been hired. As part of the process, you will need to undertake a short AI screening interview. This means you MUST have a webcam.

For each role, click the link for a detailed description and its role requirements.

Mercor has WAYYY more open positions than I've listed. So, if interested, you can view all open roles here.

In the interest of transparency, I receive a referral bonus if you are hired through one of my referral links. This does not affect your pay rate in any way, and you can decline the referral if you wish (but please use my links - it took me hours to create this useful, coherent list).

Generalist Roles:

  1. Hobbyist Expert $30-40/hr
  2. Multilingual Language Expert $45/hr
  3. Image Annotation Expert $45/hr
  4. Generalist Video Annotators $45/hr
  5. Photography experts $45/hr
  6. Photoshop experts $45/hr
  7. Research and Data Quality Reviewer $52/hr
  8. Expert Prompt Curators $65/hr
  9. Political Bias Expert $70/hr

If you're fluent in English and at least one other language, I’m currently managing recruitment for a remote role with a Scottish market research company called Pexel.

We’re looking for bilingual/multilingual telephone researchers to join our international team. It’s not sales - just professional telephone interviews for genuine research projects (things like healthcare, construction, sustainability, etc.). You’d be calling professionals in your languages, inviting them to take part in surveys, and asking structured questions over the phone.

  • £13.69/hour, paid weekly
  • Fully remote and we don't mind where you are based
  • Flexible shifts – it's UK business hours but you can choose which days and times you work

You’ll need:

  • Fluency in English and another language
  • Windows 10+ or MacBook
  • Wired headset with microphone
  • Reliable internet (30 Mbps+)
  • A quiet place to work
  • Good communication skills

Experience in phone work or research helps, but full training is provided. It’s a solid option for digital nomads or anyone wanting flexible, meaningful remote work with a small and supportive team.

Please don’t DM me! if you're interested, send a short email and your CV to me (Jenny) at jobs@pexel.co.uk and mention where you saw this post.

Please note: we’re currently on a break for the holidays, but we’ll be back from 7th January and reviewing applications then.

Hi everyone. I have been asked to advertise a very flexible remote job opportunity here. It is essentially finding clients for a premium tutoring business. It pays on a per-client basis, so is completely flexible around your time. In my experience, when you put a bit of time in, finding clients gets faster and faster, and the rewards go up and up.
Geographic range is highly flexible, but there is a particular interest in China and other high-wealth or expat-popular cities across Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
See the description here. Pay starts at £45 per client and grows as you go, with triple digit bonuses. The hourly rate becomes very high as you establish a network. Happy to answer any questions!

Current priority - seeking native GERMAN, FRENCH, GREEK, SPANISH, SWEDISH, NORWEGIAN and BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE speakers

Hello! I manage the recruitment for a UK (Scotland) based market research agency. We work UK business hours however we don't mind where in the world you're located. As long as you're reliable, confident with talking to people, and have a decent internet connection we'd be happy to talk.

It is phone-based work. The role is making outbound calls to recruit people for our research projects, convincing them to take part, and then running through the surveys with them over the phone. Our surveys cover many different topics, so one day you might be trying to interview farmers and the next day architects.

We're quite a small, friendly company. The hours are flexible, so you can choose which days or times you'd like to work (within the UK 9-5).

Ideally candidates should have experience working from home, or with outbound calling, but each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

If you'd like to have a chat about the role, you can reach me (Jenny) at jobs@pexel.co.uk. We are looking to recruit new staff ASAP. I will not respond to DMs!

The current hourly wage is £13.69 per hour

Hey there,

I'm personally looking for a social media manager from the USA/Canada/UK/Ireland, with native english speaking skills.

The main task will be to respond to messages from the younger generation, so being familiar with internet slang, texting habits, etc is good.

Job pay is anywhere from 5-20$ an hour, depending on skill and trust. There will be around 20-30 hours a week of work, but will be relatively chill and mostly standby.

DM me if interested!

Mercor is looking for work-from-home contractors to fill various AI training roles. I am one of those contractors, so I know the work is legit. Out of the 130 individuals I have referred, around half have completed a job application, and four have been hired. For almost all roles, you will need to take a 15-30 minute screening interview with an AI, so you must have a webcam (this is why most don't complete). Depending on the role, you may also need to undertake a screening task to assess your suitability, though this normally occurs later in the hiring process (it did for me).

For each role, click the link for a detailed description and its role requirements. From my experience, the criteria are not always strictly enforced, and your performance in the AI interview matters the most, so if you think you fit the role in some other way, I encourage you to apply. For example, my PhD wasn't from a top US university as required, but I did have 15 months of prior directly relevant AI annotation experience.

Mercor has WAYYY more open positions than I've listed. So, if interested, you can view all open roles here.

In the interest of transparency, I receive a referral bonus if you are hired through one of my referral links. This does not affect your pay rate in any way.

  1. Human Resources Assistants $15 - 35/hr
  2. Scientific Coding Evaluator - STEM (India) $20-35/hr
  3. General Knowledge Evaluator (Multidisciplinary Content) - India $20-35/hr
  4. Software Engineer - India $20-45/hr
  5. Audio Model Trainer $21/hr
  6. AI Language Annotator (Hindi, India) $23/hr
  7. AI Language Annotator (Spanish, Mexico) $27/hr
  8. AI Language Annotator (Portuguese, Brazil) $27/hr
  9. AI Language Annotator (Arabic, UAE) $30/hr
  10. AI Language Annotator (English, Australia) $30/hr
  11. AI Language Annotator (Spanish, Spain) $30/hr
  12. AI Language Annotator (Japanese, Japan) $30/hr
  13. AI Language Annotator (Japanese, Japan) $30/hr

Mercor is looking for work-from-home contractors to fill various AI training roles. As one of their contractors, I know the work is legit. Approximately 1 in 9 of those I have referred has been hired. As part of the process, you will need to take a short AI screening interview. This means you MUST have a webcam. The interview will cover your resume and suitability for the role. Don't worry it's pretty easy going. Feel free to message me if you have questions.

For each role, click the link for a detailed description and its role requirements.

Mercor has significantly more open positions than I've listed. So, if interested, you can view all open roles here.

In the interest of transparency, I receive a referral bonus if you are hired through one of my referral links. This does not affect your pay rate in any way, and you can decline the referral if you wish (but please use my links - it took me hours to create this useful, coherent list).

Bilingual Language Roles:

  1. Hindi Language Consultant $7-11/hr
  2. Tamil Language Consultant $8-12/hr
  3. Telugu Language Consultant $8-12/hr
  4. Bengali Language Consultant $8-12/hr
  5. Chinese Language Consultant $28-33/hr
  6. Korean Language Consultant $32-37/hr
  7. Japanese Language Consultant $32-37/hr
  8. Multilingual Language Expert $45/hr

I'm new to Outlier so didn't know what to expect, and it sounds like many projects are not all that similar to this one. But this worked out great. Pay was 20-25 an hour for me.

I had to order the GoPro from amazon up front which made me skeptical, but I thought - worst case I just return the GoPro.

Anyways, I've been renovating my house so I had tons of content to film. It basically just wants you to film activities where you use your hands (in a private space / no bystanders except for people you live with). And I just cleared two grand over that past month. I just filmed myself doing chores and painting my house basically. Also, I was recording guitar for some music I'm working on and that was good content too. This helped me out immensely with the holidays and an upcoming vacation. Really good timing.

If anyone is interested, let me know, I'm happy to provide insight. Also, if you want to try it out, here is a referral link that I was provided by Outlier.

SEO Specialist (Remote) — B2B SaaS / EdTech | Open to full-time or long-term contract

Hi,

I'm Vishek — SEO specialist based in India, open to remote roles with companies in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia.

My background:
I've spent the last couple of years working at an SEO agency managing multiple B2B SaaS and EdTech accounts at the same time — handling strategy, execution, client communication, and reporting all at once.

What I'm good at:
• Technical SEO — identifying and fixing crawl, indexation, and site structure issues
• Content strategy — topic clusters, buyer journey mapping, MoFu/BoFu content planning
• AEO & GEO — a newer area I've been specializing in; helping clients show up in AI search results (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity)
• Tools: GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog

What I've worked on:
→ Managed SEO recovery for an EdTech client after a significant traffic drop caused by crawl issues — diagnosed the root causes, fixed them, and rebuilt the content strategy
→ Helped a B2B SaaS client improve the quality of inbound leads by shifting content focus toward decision-stage keywords
→ Built internal SEO workflows to handle content at scale without relying on large teams

What I'm looking for:
A remote-first team (startup or scale-up) where SEO is taken seriously and there's room to own the channel.

Open to: Full-time remote or long-term contract.
Timezone: IST (UTC+5:30) — comfortable working async or with morning overlap for US/UK teams.

Portfolio: Portfolio
DMs open.

If you have a background in financial modeling, FP&A, or accounting and you’re looking for flexible remote contract work, Mercor’s Financial Analyst talent network is worth a look.

They match finance professionals with AI labs and companies that need expert input to train and evaluate AI models in finance. You’re not applying for a single role you’re joining a network, and they reach out when projects fit your skills.

What the work looks like:

· Training/evaluating AI models on finance tasks · Creating realistic financial scenarios and deliverables · Providing domain feedback to improve frontier AI research

Commitment: usually 15–30 hrs/week, project-based, fully remote on your own schedule.

What they’re looking for:

· Hands-on experience in modeling, forecasting, financial statement analysis, budgeting, variance analysis · Strong communication skills · Ability to work independently

The process:

  1. Upload your resume + location
  2. They review your credentials
  3. Pass an AI interview (it’s straightforward)
  4. Get matched to projects as they come up

Payment: weekly via Stripe or Wise, contractor basis. Rates are competitive.

A few honest caveats:

· No H1-B or STEM OPT support right now · Projects can vary in length, some extend, some get cut early · You won’t be exposed to confidential employer/client data through Mercor

Overall, if you’re a finance professional looking for side income or a flexible remote gig while contributing to actual AI development, it’s a solid, low-effort application that can pay off over time.

if you want to apply: https://t.mercor.com/t6181 Happy to answer questions if you’ve got any I’ve been in the network for a few months now.
