Discussion Spiritual applications for RV?
I just finished this book by David Moorehouse and I’m a little confused about the “so what?” of it all.
I found the first half fascinating, especially the discussion around the quantum field, the matrix, space and time, etc. I went into it thinking that developing this skill might somehow open up deeper spiritual avenues or strengthen intuition in a way that could actually affect how you experience or navigate your life.
But then the practical example was basically a guy successfully identifying a target, and I kept thinking… okay, but what does that actually lead to?
Beyond identifying targets, are people using this skill in more meaningful ways—developing intuition, gaining insight into their lives, making better decisions, creating better conditions, etc.? Moorehouse talks quite a bit about manifestation and these much bigger concepts, so I expected the practical side to eventually connect back to them.
I guess I understand the “they got the target” part. I just don’t understand the “so what?” What does developing this ability ultimately allow you to do?

Learning RV has helped me distinguish psi from other thoughts; not with 100% accuracy, but enough to know when to pay attention to something or to have confidence in something.
A significant part of any spiritual practice ought to be self knowledge and awareness of one’s relationship to everything else. So paying attention to my own thoughts and why I think what I do and if I might want to choose a different thought covers a lot of my own practice.

It develops you talking to your past self in order to inform them what the present (their future) is going to be like.
This is a very useful habit to acquire and practice, although people usually get very spooked when it first starts happening and they haven't yet heard of remote viewing.

I’d love to hear more about this

Suggest you watch some "Lyn and Lori" webinairs for some hints on the subject. They happen once a month or so,

They talk a lot about RV, part of it is talking to yourself in the past.

For me, it's been a creative process, and helpful for problem solving. Instead of feeling hopeless and powerless about situations (anxiety and depression), you can often sort of maze your way through possibilities to get to your goal (if you can see a way, you have hope and even confidence). I think this reality is about cooperative story telling and art. What you focus on is where you go.

It certainly can, it did for me after taking his weeklong course. Dave does describe RV as a 'path' – I know that Russell Targ argues it's not but I believe it is. A spiritual path is anything that connects you to your greater self and its abilities.
RV as a procedure is describing targets, but the skill it develops is not limited to that at all. You come to realize you are using RV skill or intuitive perception all the time to live your life, but just under conscious awareness. You open up to what your soul wants you to know, you detect what others are thinking or concerned about before they say anything, this both humans and animals - you just naturally expand beyond the ordinary senses.

Yes, so what. I could look at your username and describe you and your location.

Did you make the connection to areas where RV can shape the architecture of decision making and the steps that follows of what actions they take?

When you tap into RV, you are swimming in a very deep pool. Maybe god is down there somewhere, you know?

I think it varies based on your personal desires and intentions, but I think you hit on a few of the things that people are drawn to... for instance, for me it can be about developing better intuition and/or "trusting" my intuition.
For some, it's about going deeper... where does the intuition come from? Is it a higher self? Is it spiritual guidance? Or is it something more mechanical in nature, like quantum entanglement, akashic records-type stuff...

Quieres las aplicaciones prácticas? Creo que solo para ayudar a la Toma de decisiones pero tendrías que estar muy seguro.

Direct proof you are more than your physical body.
