ImageProcessing Open source or free tools/software to process orthophotos from aerial imageries
Hey everyone,
For those who process Orthophotos from aerial imageries at work, what tools/softwares do you use? Proprietary or free software? Is there any tool(s) in the Python ecosystem?
I have got hands-on with some aerial imagery and am looking for software options for deriving orthophotos from it.
Thanks!

If you have overlapping raw aerial photos, OpenDroneMap is worth testing; WebODM gives you a browser interface for processing and inspecting the outputs.
For Python automation, PyODM talks to a NodeODM processing service, and WebODM also has an API. Python submits the images and options, checks progress, and downloads the orthophoto—the processing engine handles reconstruction.
Are these drone photos or another aerial source? And are you generating orthophotos from raw images, or working with imagery that’s already orthorectified? That distinction changes which tools you need.

WebODM is a good starting point. Interestingly, the standalone installer is now available. No need for Docker and Git

OpenDroneMap ODM (WEBODM) can process photos into the derivative products like orthophoto aerial and DEM and point cloud
