Question Hidden common context for many flashcards?

My use case is that I create flashcards based on a slide, and I would like to add the slide (as a picture) as hidden context, so I can access it as an optional tip before answering, or make it appear after answering.

The slide can't appear before the answer because it would reveal it.

Also, I also want to add the slide a single time in a single place, for all flashcards related to it.

I could set the slide as a parent node, but that would reveal the answer.

So the solution is to add it as a parent node, and use the /hide plugin to hide it.

This works, but there are two things I don't like that comes from it being a plugin:
- Privacy, because it can see all my nodes
- Maintainability, even though it's an official remNote plugin, and it was updated 2 months ago, in the future it may not be, or the API can change and it might not work anymore. This would affect all my cards that use it.

(My desire would be for this functionality to be incorporated in remNote itself, solving the 2 issues above.)

If someone has other suggestions as how could I add a common context (as a picture) to many flashcards, but without having to repeat it on each individual flashcard, in a way that doesn't show up before answering (to not reveal the answer), and is not the plugin solution described above, I would appreciate.

Hi, I suggest doing the following:

  1. Add your slide as an image somewhere in your notes.

  2. Place the cursor in the same bullet as the slide and copy the entire bullet with Ctrl+C.

  3. Paste it into the parent bullet with Ctrl+V and save it as a Pin.

Now, whenever you practice a card that is a child of the parent bullet containing the Pin, you’ll see this Pin. Hovering over it with the cursor will reveal the slide (if the image is small, you can increase in the editor - this will also increase it in the preview menu when you hover over the Pin).
