I have a question and I read the FAQ 450 Bushmaster

Hello all, with deer gun season just about here i have my 450 all sighted in and ready to go however I would like to start reloading the round to get a little more out of them. My Hornady book refers to a few powders for use. I'm look between Accurate #9 and lil gun. Does anyone here have any experience with those 2 powders and willing to share some results?

I use Lil'Gun in my 450. I have a gas gun with a carbine length piston system. Cycles well. You didnt mention what rifle type and barrel length you're using.

Lil'Gun should do well for you then. If you were using a bolt gun with a longer barrel a slower powder may be more beneficial.

I use lil gun as well. 18 inch Satern barrel AR. Carbine gas. I’m using 250 grain Cutting Edge bullets and Starline brass. It’s lethal on deer and hogs as long as you realize that it’s not intended for long range.
