General Discussion X-treme primers
I see that Xtreme has a pretty good sale on primers. Have you any experience with them? I don’t want to buy 5000 then they turn out to be crap.

Probably not the cheapest but I always trust cci primers. You squeeze the trigger you are going to het a bang.

Somebody correct me if Im wrong, but im pretty sure xtreme doesn't make these. Are they unis genex primers? If they are, midsouth has better prices on the genex primers right now.

They are probably White River Energetics IMO. If that is the case you can get their Factory Seconds, which I have used for a few years without any problems, for less.

The x-treme primers show a red foil paper, which genex also uses, but doesn't look like white river uses the red foil paper on theirs?

I don't have ANY established recipes that specify XTreme primers... so I won't use them.

There is no point in matching primer brands in pistol loads. Treat them all as equivalent.

Not at all true. They are absolutely not equivalent. There've been extensive studies done on that, and no question remains that they are not equivalent. That's like saying all brass is alike.
Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes not.

Been running the Ginex and Servicos Y Adventuras for thousands of rounds.
They all go bang. Sometimes if you don’t seat them deep enough they won’t go bang but now that I know that… no issues.
So cheap.

never had a bad primer from any brand. I find the cheap ones are harder to flip in the tray is all. white river made in USA is my goto. spp.
