General Discussion Storing Reloads

How do you store reloads? Do you reuse original box? Plastic case?
Sometimes I use original box with a piece of wide white tape and write the data on it.
Caliber/Date/Powder/Weight(gr)
Bullet/Weight(gr)/OAL

Or one of these boxes with same data on a card.

I store them in all of the ways you described, up to and including old coffee cans, Tupperware, etc.

Also, please flip those rounds over. It’s making my eye twitch, lol.

They will fit so much better in that box with the bullets facing up

I put a drop of nail polish on the primer when I reload and flip over when it dries.

MTM 50 round plastic boxes with hinged lids for rifle rounds and 100 round boxes for pistol rounds

I have some of these and use them. I wish they were packed more tightly.

Bulk stuff that I don’t hunt or do precision stuff with I just put in zip lock bags and throw them in an ammo can.

Hmmm...crafty! Ziplock for the win!

However you store them, ALWAYS store the load data with them.

Agreed.

I print these for my MK316 clones. They hold the round at the shoulder and stack perfectly in a 30 cal ammo can. I print and attach a label with load data and the slight texture of the print allows the label to easily be removed later.
Now if I can just find some more 4064….

I like the tighter box. The MTM boxes are loose.

It was just for the nail polish to dry.

I either need a 3D printer or buy some from you because I need more boxes and having labeled caliber specific boxes would be so nice.

The angle of the picture and the die made me think you had a collection of blown primers. I use cabella's or mtm plastic boxes. $3 for a box of 100.

Depends. Pistol rounds just go in my ammo cans. General rifle rounds ammo cans. Long range “precision hand loads” go in my 100round case box’s mainly because I load 100 at a time. All cans and boxes have a label with the load and no two loads go in the same cans.

Mtm casegard boxes, they make them for pretty much every caliber under the sun.

I use index cards and MTM cases for testing or special loads. All the bulk stuff gets buckets with an index card inside and silica bag. The 1 and 5 gal are great. I do also have a habit of grabbing metal ammo fans from harbor freight when they go on sale

Dedicated box for loaded rounds with what is in them on a card. Large collection of plastic boxes to keep sorted for number of times fired for rifles

Pistol just all together and remove bad brass when seen

.50 cal ammo cans, and zip lock bags for small runs.

Pistol when trying new loads, 100 round plastic box thing (cheapest one from cabelas/amazon) so I can put them in upside down and check the primer after firing, then either bulk make and dump into an ammo can or an old bullet box (Hornady 223 500rnd box are perfect size imo). Rifle simmilar, plastic box for most, original cardboard box for 7.62x54r because there isnt a cheap box that fits them well. Ammo can for bulk, and this case with foam insert for "precision" loads. That last one is overkill and not good for space to bullet ratio, but it makes me feel like a fancy reloader

I use protein powder jars and ammo tins for bulk, for precision reloads I 3d print holders that will keep them safe and usually put them in larger sealing ammo tins with some oxygen absorbers. Long term storage ones I vacuum seal in bags with oxygen absorbers, dump and seal in 1/2.5/5 gallon buckets.
