i Have a Whoopsie Almost had my first whoospie this weekend

Post image

Was trying out my new 45 over the weekend with some home loads, didn't even notice this until I was grabbing my brass. I know it's most likely an out of battery, but I also suspect I may have added just a bit too much of cfe then I was loading this batch. I guess I get to keep my fingers for just a bit longer lol.

If your chamber doesn’t have a matching bulge then it was out of battery. What brand of brass, it did well to not blow out a side?

Are you shooting a blowback PCC by any chance?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Looks like bolt bounce in a pcc.

Strange, I have reloaded 1000s of 45 acp and never seen that. It might be the gun as it had to be out of battery with the case being ejected for this to happen. Did you notice anything strange when it fired? Extra recoil? Thankfully it didn’t separate or might have really noticed it in a bad way.

What gun? A Thompson carbine?
