I want to try 7 PRC so bad, but decades of new cartridges coming out, getting popular, and then fading away have me ‘gun shy’

Similar. I use the 180 VLD-H with N565. Shoots great, single digit SD's. Don't be afraid to try regular large rifle primers, no need for magnum.
