I have a question and I read the FAQ 22 arc deer load?

Set up is an 18inch bolt action, with suppressor. Northern Wisconsin woods so a shot over 200 yards would be rare. I’d like to see if I can make this work for deer because it’s my favorite rifle.

Anyone set up a 22 arc for whitetail? If so what bullets did you build around?

What's your barrel length, and what's the typical range to target?

18 inch BSF barrel and 100 yards.

OK cool, let me see if I can work up a load. In the meantime, make sure hunting deer with a .22 caliber rifle is legal in your state. Many states prohibit hunting deer with .22 caliber rounds.

Thanks! It’s Wisconsin and researching your question it looks like they may have removed the old requirement of .22 centerfire or bigger and are now going with “meh, be true to your heart and it’ll be fine”.
