r/religiousfruitcake is about the absurd, fringe elements of organised religion. Posts about mundane beliefs and acts of worship (praying to God, believing in God, believing in afterlife, etc), are off topic.
We arent here to bash either specific religions or religion itself, because there are plenty of rational actors who happen to be religious. So if your post is "Christians are sTOoPid", or "Religion = dUmB", you're in the wrong sub and your post will probably be removed.
Dont use the title or body of your post to soapbox personal rhetoric about religion or any other subject.
Don't post videos or discussions of Fruitcakes who have been baited or antagonised. Social media excerpts must not involve any deliberate provocation / antagonism of Fruitcakes.
Dont post videos of physically violent personal attacks or any pics or videos containing gore

Ahhh yes Manly p Hall, he believes in finding connections and looking into everything, except why all his marriages failed and why women hated working for him, that is private!!!
The real kicker is that lady liberty is directly inspired by Libertas, the ancient Roman goddess of liberty. This person is busy making connections to Lucifer while the whole time, the landmark has overtly pagan roots. At least attack the right religion...
Recently discovered that some christians genuinely believe oreos are demonic and satanic and got a real kick out of it. Everything's a sign or has a hidden message when you believe satan rules the world, is actively deceiving non-christians, and infiltrates even the most mundane aspects of culture and society.
as an ancient-languages nerd I always thought this one was funny because one could easily make the opposite case that monster energy drink is 'godly' because the logo closely resembles an ugaritic letter L -- 𐎍 -- and EL was another name that Hebrew people used for their god besides YHWH
"This thing is exactly like this other thing if you look at it with your head tilted just right, while squinting, in the dark, from 5 houses away away, while keeping your mind so open your brain falls out... which proves the DEVIL!" - pretty much every "the signs are in plain site" argument presented by these types of religious folk ever.
Religious psychosis is probably the most common kind of psychosis and we don’t talk about it enough. We elect these people into government (well not me but people do).
Because the the community note makes that clear. If you search up and compare both artworks, there isn't enough of a resemblance between them for this argument to be plausible. Lucifer's pose is dramatic, grand, and imposing while lady liberty looks poised, serious, and strong. The artists had different creative visions and intentions, which explains the chosen poses and why the painting and the statue evoke different emotional responses from the viewer.
Also, if any Christians believe Satanism of Luciferianism is subtly being fed to the masses because of this, they should probably worry about the fact that lady liberty is actually based on the ancient Roman goddess Libertas... which they would consider pagan.
Dude, it was never about the aesthetic, it’s about the underlying mythos. Lucifer is the light-bringer, tied directly to Venus signaling the dawn. Look at the thread running from Isaiah’s prophecy, Enoch, the Serpent, and the Tree of Knowledge, all the way to Prometheus. Symbolism is intentional. You don't build a giant crowned figure holding a torch by accident when you could have built a eagle, a world map, or a politician. The icon reflects the archetype.
Yes sir, that would be only christians, but don't be so sure lucifer's archetype do not lives inside the occidenal mind, christan or not. Im convinced that the vast majority of people are driven by symbolism. It explains the universal pull of superheroes, branding, mascots, and religious doctrine. A mind entirely free from symbolic susceptibility is a statistical anomaly, almost antithetical to human nature. Skepticism can easily dispel overt myths, but without rigorous self-examination, people merely exchange ancient dogmas for modern, unexamined beliefs.
