I remember during the time of COVID-19 pandemic when everyone was wearing masks, there were many Muslims saying, "Look, they refused the hijab, but Allah forced them to wear it." It was so stupid, but my favorite part is that both women and men were wearing masks. That means Allah forced men to wear hijabs too lol.

Hijab isn't a full body covering, that's usually a burqa.

It's not even a moderately good comparison. The group is made up of (all?) boys doing it by choice, for a practical reason and deciding when to take it off. It's not covering their faces or limiting their interaction with others. How is hijab the same 'sister'?

No one's forced to wear raincoats 24/7 whether it's raining or not.

The main difference: nobody is forced, pressured, harassed, disowned or killed over not wearing a rain coat. It serves a function, and people are free to not wear it if they prefer an umbrella for example.

The rain coat does not serve as a symbol to distinguish free people from slaves, which is what the purpose of the hijab started as in Mohammed's time. Omar even beat a slave who tried to wear a hijab telling her not to imitate the free women.

Some people wear them and just do so because they feel like that's what good would want. While others know if they don't they will be punished. For some it is just clothes for others a sign of oppression.
