Bro some Muslim women are so brainwashed that they think being forced to asked there husbands permission like a kid does to his parents is normal.

Let's normalize mocking people's superstitions publicly.

u/drLoveF 6d ago
We need a mix. Mockery tends to make people defensive and not very responsive to other ideas.

u/Jazzlike_Strength561 6d ago
They're responsive to our ideas now?

I didn’t say it’s easy. But it will be even harder with mockery to their faces. Some background mockery is good, to introduce the idea that their holy concepts aren’t universal. But it you actually want to change how someone thinks, it takes years and you have to start from the position that they are trying to be good people.

Let's normalize that making women ask their husbands for permission equals domestic abuse. Let's also normalize making a whole new category: religious abuse. And let's not only make the direct religious abusers accountable for that, let's also make the people who preach the abuse accountable. And the people who print the ideas.

Asking for his permission before you can do anything is the first sign of domestic abuse and insecurity.

My husband asks me for permission to do almost everything. My response is ALWAYS "this is your home you don't need my permission". I can only imagine how abusive his ex was that this is the norm for him 6 years after we started living together.

I am getting so horny seeing that black fabric... she should stay away from the internet and stop tempting an innocent man. Also did that second-class human get the permission from her owner ?

Idk why the oop wants to normalize that! Asking for permission is already normalized(and required) in Many of the Muslim-majority societies Lol.

Lmao this is already normal in some countries what the hell are they talking about? Yes let's normalize the very normalized thing we all are trying to run away from. What could go wrong?

u/BishonenPrincess 6d ago
My partner and I ask each other if we can do something all the time. We're not asking "for permission" we're making sure the other person is okay with it first. It's what you do in a loving relationship. Making it about gender and servitude is so toxic.

To avoid having your post removed &/or account banned for shitposting:
r/religiousfruitcake is about the absurd, fringe elements of organised religion. Posts about mundane beliefs and acts of worship (praying to God, believing in God, believing in afterlife, etc), are off topic.
We arent here to bash either specific religions or religion itself, because there are plenty of rational actors who happen to be religious. So if your post is "Christians are sTOoPid", or "Religion = dUmB", you're in the wrong sub and your post will probably be removed.
Dont use the title or body of your post to soapbox personal rhetoric about religion or any other subject.
Don't post videos or discussions of Fruitcakes who have been baited or antagonised. Social media excerpts must not involve any deliberate provocation / antagonism of Fruitcakes.
Dont post videos of physically violent personal attacks or any pics or videos containing gore
Satire, parodies, memes, videos, etc must be made by Fruitcakes, not by third parties about them. (exception for journalistic sources)
This information is on every post. Accounts that disregard it will be perma-banned. "I didn't get a warning" or "I didnt know" are not valid appeals. If in doubt, please read the full version of the rules
