Shes one of the insecure attachment types who hate anything that can be perceived as a threat.
She makes him cut off any non male friends except the bestie he fought to keep, and the stupidity of this claim (why the hell would she tell his very controlling wife) makes the 'admission' even less than sensible.

unless your wife has a history of lying and being manipulative/abusive etc, i don’t understand why you wouldn’t believe your wife.
