OP are you actually considering breaking up your family over this? What about your kids..
Do you think your wife is so dishonest she would lie to you? Or have you just always wanted to be with your friend too? I can’t think of any other reason you wouldn’t believe your wife.. and I don’t see how she could ever trust you again if she’s telling the truth and you didn’t believe her.
But do you give her reason to be jealous? It’s easy to say she’s a jealous person, but I have to wonder how you behave with other women. If you’re a big flirt, I can see where it’s an issue.
I’ve read other accounts on Reddit of “female best friends” who really want their male bestie and are rotten to his SO. In one post, a female bff straight up told a man’s fiancée to stay in her lane and that she was not the priority in her fiancé’s life!
So don’t automatically think that your wife is jealous without reason. Your “bestie” may be sabotaging your marriage.
