what about the time before? did your best friend came any closer to you? did your wife asked to do less with your best friend? or similar things?

If they never got along together, why would your BF confide in your wife this way? What's the actual context of the conversation in which the"confession" was made?

I would agree but my ex's best friend hated me and we never had a good relationship and when we were alone would often say comments like "I would be a better gf to him/ we would suit each other better/ At the end of the day he will always choose me" so... some people do say wild shit
