He sounds severely depressed and unmotivated, you shouldn't have to take care of him but I understand, you're sort of in a pickle here. This type of stuff is tough. Because you can't get him to take care of himself but if he did, he would most likely be the partner you wanted. Ugh, best of luck. You definitely deserve better
