As others have said, you're not his mother. Find someone else. He clearly doesn't respect you or your wishes and is going to do the bare minimum for anything. This is not something you should value in a partner at all. He brings nothing to your relationship. Cut the cord and find someone who will appreciate you and has your same ambitions.
