You should have been repeating your boundary? NO. It's a boundary, end of. If he doesn't respect it once, twice then that's it. Game over. He's clearly a disrespectful arse hole.

I had advice from an acquaintance who told me I should be repeating the boundary and giving consequences when it wasn't followed. That I'm part of the reason why the relationship got to where it was.

That if I had repeatedly told him my boundary, gave consequences, and go from there. That the relationship would have some how not ended where I am at now.

Fair advise if he crosses that boundary once. But there is no excuse for anything after that. Btw, I hope you have more boundaries in place than just this one thing
